Oneira Studio was founded and created by London jeweller, Gemma Miller, whose creative journey led her to settle in Athens, Greece—a city steeped in myth and beauty. It is here, inspired by the Greek word Oneira, meaning "dreams," that Gemma’s vision took shape.

From a young age, Gemma was captivated by the magic and significance of her dreams. Every night, she would awaken with a sense of wonder, reflecting on the stories her imagination had woven. For Gemma, each dream felt like a thread being unraveled—an endless tapestry of possibility. This fascination with dreams, mythology, and the art of storytelling eventually led her to the ancient Greek myth of Ariadne’s thread, a tale of guidance, strength, and escape.

In her work, Gemma uses the timeless art of filigree—a delicate technique of weaving fine wire into intricate patterns—to echo the symbolism of Ariadne’s thread. Just as Ariadne’s thread helped Theseus navigate the labyrinth and defeat the Minotaur, Gemma’s designs embody the strength, courage, and clarity needed to navigate life's own labyrinth.
